It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #19

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey meant to highlight books you read in the past week, and what you’re planning on reading this week.

I’m still trying to finish some S&S Galley Grab books before they expire. This week was insanity, so I probably could have read more. I’m still moving apartments, but Tropical Storm Irene interrupted my moving weekend by coming and dropping a lot of rain and blowing a lot of wind. I had to hunker down at home instead of working on my move. Also, my cat, Flash, also started having kidney failure yesterday, so I spent part of the day taking her to the kitty emergency room. She should be well enough to come home tomorrow, but will need medication and a new special diet. She’s an old lady, so it isn’t a bit shock, but still sad. But yeah, once my move is over this coming week, I’ll want to tackle my pile of books!

Finished:
Dust and Decay by Jonathan Maberry
Damned by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguié
Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris

Continuing to read:
The Dragon Factory by Jonathan Maberry (audiobook) — on disc 7 of 13
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I hope to finish this week:
Witchlanders by Lena Coakley
Goliath by Scott Westerfeld
Envy by Gregg Olsen

Thanks for following! My review for Bad Taste in Boys should be up by the end of the week, and so far I’m loving The Night Circus.

  2. Wow what a few days you have had! Poor Flash, I am glad to hear she is going to be feeling better soon. I hope that Irene didn’t affect you too badly!

All of your books sound amazing this week! I am adding the last three to my list to read right away! Hope this week is better!

Thanks for your concern. I think she’ll be okay as she can be. She’s really old, so I’m just enjoying my cat for as long as she is still around. And it looks like Irene mostly just knocked some trees down and damaged my roof. We didn’t even lose power in my apartment.

I decree this coming week to be a much better one!
