It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #44

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey meant to highlight books you read in the past week, and what you’re planning on reading this week.

I had a pretty good week this week, other than an emergency room visit on Friday night. My boyfriend stepped on a toothpick and it got lodged one inch into the sole of his foot. It wasn’t pretty! The doctor yanked it out, gave him a tetanus shot, and he had x-rays to confirm nothing splintered. He should be all better in no time.

Finished:
The Vanishing Game by Kate Kae Myers
Renegade Magic by Stephanie Burgis
Perigee Moon by Tara Fuller
Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness (audiobook)

Continuing to read:
11/22/63 by Stephen King
Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

Hoping to finish:
Double by Jenny Valentine
Struck by Jennifer Bosworth

Are you enjoying 11/22/63/? It was my last book of 2011. It could be one of my favorites for a long time to come.

I need to finish reading it! I had to return my library copy, but now I have two copies from two different libraries. No excuses, I guess. I wish I had a week off to just sink myself into it, without having to come up for air until I was done.

  2. Very glad nothing splintered. So scary.

I read the newest Ness and your Ness title sounds intriguing. Thank you.
