It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey meant to highlight books you read in the past week, and what you’re planning on reading this week.

I had kind of a rough emotional week, so I skipped out on the books I’d been reading and went straight for the latest John Green and David Levithan novels. John Green especially hit the spot for me, and I loved The Fault in Our Stars. The Levithan book was good too, but it just wasn’t up to Green level for me. It’s a tough act to follow.
I’m not sure how much reading I’ll do this week. I don’t have any rehearsals and no more concerts until Sunday night, so I might actually use my evenings to read (!!!) Crazy, right? I want more escapist fiction, so hopefully the books I read will fill that niche. I’ve been abandoning books left and right because I pick them up and just don’t feel like reading it at the moment. That’s slowing me down on my reading challenge, but I still am hoping to get all caught up before too long. Goodreads says I’m currently 2 books behind on my pace.
Finished:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Every Day by David Levithan
Continuing to read:
11/22/63 by Stephen King (audiobook)
Blackout by Mira Grant (had to return it to the library before I could finish it. Now I have to wait for it to get to me again on the holds queue)
Fat is the New 30 by Jill Conner Browne (just wasn’t in the mood to keep reading this this week)
Hoping to finish:
Ten by Gretchen McNeil
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller
What are you reading this week?

Both the books you read are ones I hope to get to this year too – although I’ve been putting off the John Green one as I think it’s going to be sad.
I started to read Fat is the New 30 but was unsure about it. Can’t wait to hear what you think. Happy reading!
